2026 Rowe Creek Complex, Oregon (164 photos)

The Rowe Creek Complex was a cluster of lightning-caused wildfires on July 15 & 16, 2026, near Fossil, Oregon, impacting Wheeler County. It burned across more than 373,000 acres by September. At one point in August there were more than 2,200 firefighters assigned to the unified command incident based in Prineville, Oregon, in multiple spike camps. I was a task force leader for two weeks in July.
