Initial attack can last forty hours or more. Sleeping in the dirt is worth catching the fire. But when the fire boxes are within reach so are sleeping bags and canned food. During extended attack, fresh food delivered by jumpship or helicopter can mean fresh meat, grills not included. Smokejumpers are adaptive. Some use sticks, others find easier ways to cook a T-Bone.
